Nikola and Michael met during a production of Oliver! And it was obviously the start of a strong friendship. Their voices blend perfectly from the opening song from 'Wiked' to their encore of 'Old Friend' from 'I'm Getting My Act Together'. Never was this closeness more evident than in a beautiful rendition of Lionel Bart's 'Where Is Love?'.

In his Solo numbers Michael truly impressed, displaying a great vocal range. In the jazz arrangement of Rodgers' and Hart's 'Where Or When?' he handled the phrasing with perfect ease and style and then excelled with Craig Carnelia's 'The Kid Inside', then

'Does The Moment Ever Come' from Style's and Drewe's 'Just So'. He can also perform popular songs and his interpretation of 'The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face' was one of the best I have heard.

Nikola also has a strong voice which was well-displayed on the classic 'Meadowlark'…She showed Passion in a song from Andrew Lippa's 'Wild Party', a great song 'Maybe I Like it this Way'. She also brought humour to the Jazz classic 'Orange-Coloured Sky'.

This was a great showcase for two young performers who should both enjoy long, successful careers in the business.

Paul Higgs supported them well as musical director and Rebecca Goldsworthy on Bass added great colour and variety to the arrangements.

"OUT OF THIS WORLD"

After succesful performances on the cabaret circuit, Michael and Nikola were afforded the opportunity to record an album of Arlen & Mercer Songs. Entitled "OUT OF THIS WORLD"
This album was recorded with A full Piece Jazz band which gives the music its own Style and Freedom.
